When BMW designed the 2017 330i sedan, it didn't stop with a powerhouse 2.0L BMW TwinPower Turbo inline 4-cylinder engine with a twin-scroll turbocharger, bespeaking variable valve control (Double-VANOS and Valvetronic) and high-precision direct injection. Nor with the hard-charging prowess of up to 248 horsepower, delivering an eye-popping acceleration capacity of up to 60 mph in up to 5.5 seconds. Eight-speed Sport Automatic transmission with Sport and Manual shift modes making it easy to own the road, it's just a matter of changing gears in a snap using steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Front and rear head protection, supplemental restraints on front driver and passenger airbags with dual-threshold and dual-stage deployment, seat-mounted front side-impact airbags and driver and front passenger knee airbags come together to make the drive-time experience as secure as it is sporty. And in the event of an accident, 330i's impact sensor disconnects its alternator, fuel pump and starter from its Battery Safety Terminal, unlocking the doors automatically and turning on hazard and interior lights to make for quick exit.
